Electro Meridian Imaging is a Recent Break-Through for Establishing Balance in Children with Autism
Autism Rates Climb Because of Susceptibility: Electro Meridian Imaging is a Potential Solution to Weakness in these Kids.
That's right: Susceptible.
This is the key misunderstanding about why some kids become autistic and others escape -- there's an inherent weakness that prevents them from fighting off potential damaging agents.
Establishment Modern Medicine, or Biomedicine, is the predominant choice in trying to deal with diseases and, today, with autism. But as many have shown, including the recent film Sicko by Michael Moore, Modern Medicine is in crisis. And you and your loved ones are paying a dear price.
There are Effective Alternatives to the Biomedicine Model
I've long been interested in Alternative Medicine. I've been enamored with Contemporary Homeopathy, a form that differs dramatically from the Classical Method. I use it in my practice.
|
Another long-standing healing format is Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which relies on two primary therapeutic modalities:
- acupuncture -- a therapeutic that acts on the meridian system in the body
|
 |
|
|
 |
This widely practiced and well studied system of health care differs dramatically from Biomedicine, in Practice and in Philosophy. It's unconcerned with the concept of cause and concentrates solely on disharmony and imbalances, primarily in the meridian channels.
I propose that there's an underlying disharmony in those afflicted by autism.
TCM principles are guided by the concepts of Yin and Yang which reflect the belief that one can only understand a part in relation to the whole. In a relationship in which Yin and Yang are unbalanced for prolonged periods of time, or in an extreme manner, the resulting disharmony can be quite drastic.
The Idea of Qi (Chee) is a Fundamental Concept in TCM
Qi is the pulsation of the cosmos itself. It's often called Vital Energy or Life Force. It reflects the notion that we're all composed of both material and energetic substances. Modern physics understands this idea but it's not yet a part of our Biomedicine model.
But it is a part of TCM. As Dr. Ted Captchuk wrote in the Web That Has No Weaver, "Qi is the thread connecting all being and is the common denominator of all things -- mineral to human."
Common denominator!
All else is below Qi. Qi controls, Qi is of Primary Importance and, therefore, a disharmoniuos Qi MUST be corrected before, or at the same time, as you pursue the use of other healing methods.
These ideas and concepts are not a part of the Biomedicine model, which relies on anatomy, chemistry, physiology, and biochemistry. As such, these polar opposites are incompatible.
Qi has at least five major functions in a human:
- Qi is the source of all movement and accompanies all movement
- Qi protects the body
- Qi is the source of harmonious transformations
- Qi warms the body
- Qi ensures stability and governs retention
A Meridian is a Channel or Pathway that Carries and Transports Qi
A Meridian is not like a blood vessel -- it's invisible; it's thought that it's a kind of informational network; providing instructions on how the physical body should perform.
The channels connect the interior of the body with the exterior. Acupuncture points on the surface of the body can profoundly influence what goes on inside the body.
The Meridian system is made up of 12 regular Meridians. Meridian theory assumes that disorder within a Meridian generates derangement in the pathway and creates disharmony along that Meridian.
The goal, therefore, of all treatment methods in TCM is to rebalance those aspects of the body whose harmony and movement have become disordered.
Advances in Meridian Testing and Analysis Have Led to Exciting Developments in Acupuncture Use
In 1951 a Japanese acupuncturist, Dr. Yoshio Nakatani, MD, PhD, developed a method of examining the Meridian system through electronic measurements of Meridian Source Points that altered the way acupuncture would be practiced throughout the world.
The focus of acupuncture should be to create balance and harmony through the 12 major Meridians. Unfortunately, today, most acupuncture is used in a cookbook fashion to treat symptoms such as headaches, sleep disorders, and pain. Balance and harmony are thrown on the trash heap.
In the early years, Dr. Nakatani would measure the electro-conductiveness at specific acupuncture points in the hands and feet. He then charted the readings which led to a point-stimulation protocol to return the system to balance.
Several years ago this method of acupuncture was computerized. I began using the system more than one year ago and I've made more than 3,000 readings on more than 300 people. The results that I have achieved have been nothing less than phenomenal.

Here's a Look at the Graphs that the Computer Program Produces and How We Analyze the Readings
|
This is the graph generated by the testing. Red readings are excessive Qi, blue is too little, magenta is a split or an imbalance between the left and right sides of the body. Green is in the normal range.
This person has a significant disharmony.
|
 |
|
In this graph, the overall Qi is excessive -- Qi is just too high. The individual imbalances are less important than the overall high average (green horizontal line) which averages 166 and it should be about 100.
Overall excessive Qi is a significant disharmony and will cause much disruption in the mind and body.
|
 |
|
This is a low graph, average Qi flow at 60. When Qi is this low, we disregard the individual readings as many will appear green (normal) because the graph is compressed to the bottom of the chart not allowing an accurate picture.
This is the typical picture of the Meridians in autism. The child has little defensive Qi and outside influences can easily create problems at the physical, emotional, and mental levels.

|
This graph is the goal with all green readings and Qi at about 90-110.
This person is now in harmony and balance.

Electro-Meridian Imaging and Acupuncture Point Re-Balancing Could Uncover and Correct the Disturbances that Lead to Autism
I've used many different methods of health improvement since I started working on myself at age nine and since I became a professional health counselor at age 21. Completing my PhD and doing Post-Doctoral work led to a passion for Alternative Medicine.
I was trained in my medical school program, as a physiologist, to discover modalities to bring to practicing physicians. But, unfortunately, I discovered that they really don't care much about alternatives to what they learn in med school -- mostly drug use.
I'm taking my messages directly to the public.
You must understand how to effectively choose what you'll want to do for your autistic child. I can tell you that the first step MUST be to create balance and harmony in the body's Meridian System.
First step!
Why?
It's the Common Denominator and all else flows from it.
How?
We take the readings, look at the chart, read from the list that's generated what points to stimulate. I give you a laser pen, like the red pointers you see everywhere (it has a special wavelength), and you go home and stim the points. This opens them up and unblocks them so Qi can flow.
We re-graph and just keep going, trying to get the system in balance.
Here's a recent email I received from a family whose son took advantage of my Electro-Meridian Imaging protocol.
I'm now accepting new clients to re-balance in my Philadelphia office.
I'm also training a colleague and we'll work out of her office in New York City beginning soon.
