Aspergers Can Be Relieved Through an Understanding of Stress Biology

Aspergers Syndrome was First Described in 1944, About the Same Time Autism was First Observed

Children diagnosed with this condition appear to have normal intelligence and language development, but exhibit autism-like behavior, accompanied by limitations in social and communication skills.

An outstanding feature of this condition is that the individual has difficulties with transitions and changes, while, at the same time, preferring sameness.

Individuals Often Have Obsessions and Become Pre-Occupied

They're often over-sensitive to smells, tastes, sounds, and sights. Sounds and lights that no one else can perceive often cause distress in these individuals. Their world-view is often different from the one others hold and their actions, as a result, may seem odd and out-of-line.

These children often exhibit exceptional skills or talents in specific areas. Social adaptation is difficult and others often see an Aspergers individual as eccentric or odd.

Language seems normal but strange inflections and the use of words and sentence structure are often inconsistent with the norm.

This trait, combined with the obessive nature of the disorder, causes the individual to have difficulty using language in social settings.

Aspergers Often Demonstrate Some of the Features of Autism

They do, however, run short of possessing the full-blown features of autism. It does lie within the continuum of the Pervasive Developmental Delay spectrum.

There's no delay in reaching language development milestones, but there are differences in the use of language and in patterns of behavior.

The individual may also have problems with motor coordination including disturbances in gait. They may also demonstrate gaze avoidance and even turn away from facial contact.

There's a concentration on an academic curriculum and on vocational training depending upon the level of competency of the afflicted individual.

Therapeutics Derive from the Conventional Medical Model; Alternative Views Are Not Acceptable

The majority of care is similar to the health care received by the vast majority of people living in Western societies today.

My model of Aspergers views it as part of the whole area of Pervasive Developmental Delay as caused by a Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSS).

What are the stresses?

They're represented largely by medical therapeutics and other environmental insults that overwhelmed the individual.

This model is unacceptable to mainstream thinking and will never be accepted as a viable alternative viewpoint. To those of us working in bioenergetic therapeutics, we have seen these conditions resolved by following a functional bio-energetic  program that strengthens the individual.

We have seen the breakdown in many individuals after exposure to drugs, vaccines, and other harsh treatments and have seen the improvements when releasing people from the grip of these medical assaults.

It's difficult for mainstream practioners to understand these ideas because Stress Biology is not taught in US Medical Schools or in the training programs of any health care provider.
